Something I wanted to share.
Strange but true, how do you reach where you are?
Is it by chance, or choice?
The suffering of mankind is unkind,
But it reflects that, truly, we are all of the same kind.
Esteemed or not, wise or a fool, it does not distinguish,
However, the powerful one can’t be extinguished.
Even as you question, “Who is that one?”
Let me tell you, he is one of our kind,
Rich or poor? You ask curiously,
Seeking an answer, I look out of the window,
And see a driver, I feel I’ve known since immemorial,
Calm and serene, he cleans his employer’s car.
And then there are days spent in waiting,
and sometimes days spent driving.
Everything is unpredictable except the predictable calm and smile ,his face has always known.
For even as he faced it all, the poverty, the hardships, the suffering,
He accepted it as a part of a higher will.
So, he stands tall for he is free, and knows no wall,
Between what is and what should be,
No paradox’s no expectation, but just a silent acceptance.
And that is when the power of a higher energy field settles within him,
That power which doesn’t belong to the ordinary influential and rich, or to the poor, for both are weakened by nature’s blow,
But for that one who stands wise, in mindfulness of the coming storm, knowing that it has come.
Then, helpless and hapless as he accepts where and what is, he is in the moment of Surrender.
Surrender isn’t a sign of weakness, but one of power, for when you do so, an immense power gushes in, propelling you towards the direction you are meant to be on.
In that moment, he sees life’s pendulum swinging both ways, a swing towards pleasure that causes an equally forceful swing towards pain.
And he knows that come what may, he will not sway.
He is the one, the chosen one, powerful and wise.
For he chose to be here, and it wasn’t just by chance.
The chance came in the form of suffering, and his choice was wise,
For he knew it was the clarion call to rise above the material,
into the ever-rising plane of the divine.
